The four-step cycle
From unused equipment to independent work.
01
Unused or broken equipment from the US and Europe. Forwarding hubs in Florida and London.
02
Hand-inspected, cleaned and restored in Lima. Unrepairable cameras become a reserve of scarce parts.
03
A physical plastic certificate card will carry the camera’s Grant ID, linking it to its documented Camera Passport. No engraving needed.
04
A camera becomes a young creator’s own tool for livelihood. Not a loan. Theirs for life.
The Parts Bin
Unrepairable cameras are welcome. A screw, a spring, a battery door or a piece of glass can bring another camera back to life. You don’t need to know whether yours works.
When harvested parts restore another camera, their contribution can be recorded in an “Organ Donor” certificate.
Give your unused gear a purposeThe Camera Passport
Illustrative workshop imageA camera’s passport begins with an intake photo and an honest assessment of its condition.
The first real camera, repair record and recipient story are awaiting documentation. This is not a completed grant.
Tools of trade
